Welcome...
Every Sunday close to 350,000 churches open their doors to the public. How do you know what you’re walking into? What will the pastor be talking about? What kind of people attend?
ChurchRater lets you read what others say about the church and rate your own experience. ChurchRater lets you talk back after sitting through a sermon. ChurchRater lets you find a church that fits.
Jim & Casper Talk Belief & Salvation
Two of ChurchRater's founders were caught in the act of modeling respectful dialog. Here's basically how it's done, folks.
USA Today Features ChurchRater's Jim Henderson
Jim Henderson, one of this website's founders, was featured in America's most widely read newspaper. (Actually, the Wall Street Journal has the highest circulation, but most folks don't read the WSJ; they simply like being "seen with it.")
USA Today readers: we are thrilled to have you here. Please, tell us and America about your church. But please, follow our guidelines.
ChurchRater is a place to share your church experience, not your theology. It's a place to learn about how others may experience church (yours included). Share things like the look and feel of the place, the friendliness of its people, the strength/relevancy of the sermon, the music.
It is not a place to share opinions of people's personal lives, to show others the light, to straighten out someone you disagree with. We believe that when someone says something you disagree with, the next step is to ask them WHY they think that: nothing more. If your first response is to "fire back," please don't. Think… WWJD? Right?
This is a place for dialog, not debate. There are enough places in the world where people go after each other. ChurchRater is not one of them.
